• 3-year-old boy dead after hostage situation ends in officer-involved shooting, police say (azfamily.com) — A 3-year-old boy from Princeton has died after police fired shots while entering a barricaded mobile home during a hostage situation early Sunday, according to Illinois State Police. Officers say a man armed with a knife was holding several people, including children, in a room when they heard screams and went in. The child and the suspect were struck; the boy later died at a hospital, and the suspect now faces multiple felony charges.

Princeton baseball fell 19-5 to IVC despite two hits from Noah Morton, and girls soccer lost a close 3-2 match at Byron after leading on goals by Avah Kyle and Olivia Sandoval.
