• Rantoul man dies after medical emergency at Hap Parker Family Aquatic Center (wixy.com) — A 59-year-old Rantoul man died Monday after a medical emergency at the Hap Parker Family Aquatic Center, despite lifeguards and first responders reaching him within minutes and performing CPR. Officials from the Rantoul Fire Department and Village of Rantoul praised the lifeguards’ quick actions and asked the community to keep the man’s family and everyone involved in their thoughts as the investigation continues. 
• Rantoul school bus driver denied pretrial release in sexual assault case (wcia.com) — A former Rantoul school bus driver is being held in the Champaign County jail after a judge denied his pretrial release in a serious criminal case. Rantoul Police investigated, and Rantoul City Schools confirmed he will not drive students again. The case continues later this month with another court hearing.
• Rantoul Police seeking information after shooting sends one person to hospital (wcia.com) — Rantoul Police are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting on the 600 block of St. Andrews Circle that sent a man to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Officers say they have no suspect information yet and are urging anyone with tips to contact the Rantoul Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
