• 2026 06/24 – Todd N. Sawyer (southernillinoisnow.com) — Robinson is mourning the loss of 54-year-old Todd N. Sawyer, a Robinson High School graduate and lifelong outdoorsman who built his life around local creeks, fields, and the Wabash River. Remembered as a private but generous soul who adored his great-nephews, Todd chose cremation without public services, with Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson handling arrangements and a memorial fund in his name. 
• Braden Doersam killed in head-on accident on Route 1 (newsline.com) — A 35-year-old Robinson resident, Braden Doersam, was killed when another vehicle crossed the centerline and hit his Ford Fusion head-on on Route 1 in Crawford County, also killing the other driver. Investigators are still reviewing conditions and potential causes, while legal experts outline how families may pursue compensation after such crashes.
• James Arthur 'Jim' Kocher, age 83 (jcdailynews.com) — Family and friends are preparing to honor James “Jim” Kocher, whose son and grandchildren live in Robinson, with services later this week in Sainte Marie and Newton. The 83-year-old Army Reserve veteran and longtime plant worker is remembered for his faith, love of the outdoors, and the many birdhouses he crafted and shared.
