• Rochelle Council Approves Wheatland Tube Construction Variance (1023thecoyote.net) — Rochelle’s City Council has approved a construction variance for Wheatland Tube, clearing the way for a large fabric-covered hoop structure at 1600 Ritchie Court to speed loading operations. Company representatives said the design will significantly cut costs and construction time compared with a traditional steel building, though two council members opposed the change.
   

• Reagan Mass Transit Continues Work on Fixed Bus Routes for Dixon and Rochelle (1023thecoyote.net) — Rochelle could see its first fixed bus route as Reagan Mass Transit District works to secure funding and buses for a weekday line serving homes, shopping, medical sites and jobs. Officials say Rochelle and Dixon routes remain priorities, but they still need operational dollars and vehicles before service can launch.
