• Red Cross urges blood donations amid emergency shortage (qconline.com) — Rock Island Arsenal residents can donate blood at the Arsenal Museum on July 22 to help ease an emergency Red Cross shortage, especially for Type O-positive and B-negative blood and platelets. Additional drives are scheduled across nearby Henry, Mercer, and Rock Island counties through July 31, and donors this month receive a Fandango Movie Ticket by email.
