• Crash Kills One On Algonquin Road (journal-topics.com) — A serious two-vehicle crash on Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows Tuesday left one person dead, another critically injured, and shut the roadway between Barker Avenue and Route 53 for hours. Police, the medical examiner, and a regional crash team are still investigating, and officials have not yet released the victims’ identities. Traffic reopened around midnight after the reconstruction work concluded.
