Spartans Sports Basketball Expands to the Northwest Suburbs

Spartan Sports Basketball is expanding into the northwest suburbs, brining one of the most successful youth basketball programs in Chicagoland to the area with plans to host tryouts starting this October.

Winter travel tryouts for boys and girls teams 5th-8th grade will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on October 2nd and 9th at Kimball Hill Elementary, 2905 Meadow Drive, in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Interested players will need to pay a $20 tryout fee and can register at www.spartansports.club. Players trying out should come with a shirt, shorts, basketball, and basketball shoes along with a water bottle.

Once the teams are set and players are notified, practices will be held in the northwest suburbs prior to and during the winter travel season. Parents with questions should contact Spartans Head Coordinator and Coach Dwayne Mister at 708-937-5231.

With more than 30 teams ranging from 3rd grade to 12th grade, Spartans Sports Basketball is a travel program for both boys and girls that offers skill development, competition and teamwork for players who want to improve. The Spartans grade school program offers skill development and exposure for your child, but we also offer practice only options if your child participates in another sport during the season.

Our high school program offers exposure, skill development, highlight films, and exposure tournaments. This includes having our teams participate in Prep Hoops, NY2LA, Baylor Youth Basketball, Jr Hoops Elite and more.

The Spartans program was founded in 2014 in Chicago and is designed to get the absolute best of out of its players to compete at the highest levels. Several former Spartan players have played college basketball with some returning to help coach teams. Currently, Spartans Sports basketball operates out of multiple facilities.
