1 Arrest, 14 Seat Belt Tickets During Romeoville Labor Day Campaign
Other citations included eight for distracted driving, seven for speeding and 11 other citations.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — During its Labor Day enforcement campaign, the Romeoville Police Department issued 14 seatbelt citations, the department said in a release.
Other citations included eight for distracted driving, seven for speeding and 11 other citations. There was also one felony arrest made for aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, police said.
“Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and remind motorists that impaired driving is not a game,” Sergeant Brian McClellan said in a release.

The Romeoville Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Illinois Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Drive High. Get a DUI” enforcement campaign.
The effort was made possible by federal highway safety funds distributed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
