152 Pouches of Cigars Stolen: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 14.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 1

A retail theft was reported in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road. Someone took 152 pouches of cigars valued at $302.48 from the business.

Dec. 2

Joseph Sanzeri, 19, of the 300 block of Hayes, was charged with possession of cannabis in the area of Trozel and Murphy.

Dec. 3

Two 17 years olds were arrested for retail theft in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

Dec. 4

Daniela Martinez, 18, of the 1500 block of Baytree in Romeoville, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment in the area of Gorman south of Martingale.

Dec. 5

Christian Calzada, 21, of the 20800 block of W. Annapolis Ct. in Plainfield, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, possession of cannabis, driving left of center lane and possession of drug equipment. The incident happened in the area of Weber Rd. at S. Carillon Dr.

Ernesto de Hernandez, 18, of the 900 block of John Street in Joliet, was charged with improper use of an electronic communication device, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid driver’s license and and an in-state warrant. The incident occurred on Weber Rd. south of Airport Rd.

Dec. 9

Anthony Garcia, 41, of the 400 block of Arlington Dr. in Romeoville, was charged with speeding and possession of cannabis in the area of Romeo Rd near Poplar.

Dec. 10

Eduardo Diaz, 22, of the 1600 block of Arborwood Circle in Romeoville, was charged with possession of cannabis in the 0-100 block of Kenilworth.

Victor Cadenillas-Serrano, 23, of the 0-100 block of Belmont Dr., was charged with possession of drug equipment in the 0-100 block of Kenilworth.

A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Woodlawn. Someone ransacked an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway. It appears that nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Dec. 11

A theft over $500 was reported in the area of Powerhouse Road and Ninth Street. Someone took a trailer that was parked across from a business. The trailer is valued at $6,000.

A retail theft was reported in the 600 block of North Independence. Someone took three bottles of liquor with a value of $137.97 from the business.

A theft under $500 was reported in the 700 block of Hudson. Someone took a nativity scene valued at $25 from the yard of the residence.

Dec. 12

Amy De la Cruz, 21, of the 1600 block of Arborwood, was charged with possession of cannabis at Kentland Drive and Whitecliff.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 0-100 block of Sonoma Drive. Someone cut Christmas lights outside of the residence. Estimated cost of the damage is $50.

Dec. 13

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. Someone scratched the back passenger side door of a vehicle that was parked in the lot. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $200.00.

Dec. 14

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 1900 block of West Cobblestone Road. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle and took a laptop, clothes, sneakers and cash from the auto. Total estimated value of the items taken is $2,000.
