4 Arrests Made During Labor Day Patrols In Romeoville: Police

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Police Department made four arrests during its recent Labor Day traffic safety enforcement effort, police said in a release. The department also issued 16 seatbelt citations, 10 speeding tickets, eight distracted driving/cell phone tickets and 18 equipment/insurance citations.
The Romeoville Police Department joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies from Aug. 20 through Sept. 7 to get drunk and drugged drivers off the roads and encourage seat belt use, police said.
The Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
