4 Juveniles In Custody After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit In Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Four juveniles are in custody after a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Romeoville on Tuesday, according to Romeoville Police.

Police said an officer saw a suspicious vehicle near Century Park, 1475 W. Taylor Road, and checked its vehicle registration through the statewide system. The vehicle came back stolen from 10 days earlier from a Romeoville address, police said.

The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle accelerated and police pursued for about one mile, police said. The vehicle struck a curb and two juveniles fled from the vehicle on foot.

Police were able to find the two who had fled, and a total of four juveniles were detained and charges are pending, police said. No one was injured as a result of the crash.
