5 Seat Belt Citations Issued During Child Passenger Safety Enforcement
The campaign ran from Sept. 18 to Sept. 24.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — During its Child Passenger Safety Week enforcement, the Romeoville Police Department said it issued two child safety seat and five seatbelt citations.
The campaign ran from Sept. 18 to Sept. 24.
The department said it also issued four speeding citations, two distracted driving citations and two arrests were made for possession of a controlled substance.

The Romeoville Police Department joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies to increase awareness of proper child safety seat use and encourage motorists to buckle up.
The campaign was funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
