6-Car Pileup On I-55 Injures 1: State Police
Motorists were experiencing delays Tuesday morning, according to reports.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Tuesday morning crash was causing delays on northbound I-55 near Weber Road, according to traffic reports. Illinois State Police said a chain-reaction crash involving six cars resulted in one person being taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The left two lanes were closed for about two hours for cleanup, police said.
CBS Chicago reported a six-car pileup blocking the two left lanes, creating major delays.
