Bicyclist Injured After Car Collision

The 35-year-old Romeoville man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville police are investigating an Feb. 12. incident where a bicyclist and a car collided.

According to Romeoville Police Commander John Ferdinardo, a red 2004 Chevrolet Tracker driven by a 45-year-old Romeoville woman was traveling westbound on 135th St. at around 5:48 p.m. when it was struck by a bicyclist, a 35-year-old Romeoville man, heading southbound on Sunset Point.

The bicyclist was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the Chevy was released on scene.

No citations have been issued, but an investigation is still ongoing and it has not yet been determined who was at fault.
