Burglaries, Thefts Reported in Romeoville
Make sure to lock up your homes and vehicles.

A series of burglaries and thefts were reported over the past two weeks in Romeoville, according to the Romeoville Police Department.
On Dec. 27, a retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Someone took flea medication valued at 36.98 from a business. The following day more flea medication valued at $184.90 was stolen.

On Dec. 29, a theft of over $500 was reported in the 1500 block of Baytree. Someone took a package containing jewelry valued at $2,812.44 from the steps of a residence.
On Jan. 2 another retail theft was reported in the 200 block of South Weber Road. Someone took two men’s neckties valued at $47.20.

The next day, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Devonwood. Someone entered the building and took an undetermined amount of tools and wire from the business.
On Jan. 4, a burglary to a motor vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Richfield Trail. Three pairs of sunglasses and a GPS were taken by an unknown person from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the home. The total value of the stolen items was put at $359.
Police warn people to make sure their car is locked up and not to leave anything of value. For homes, residents should make sure to lock all doors and windows.
