Car Left Running Stolen, Vehicle Burglaries: Romeoville Incidents

Burglars smashed windows and broke car door handles to get in and steal.

Aug. 27: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 500 block Fair Meadows. Unknown person(s) broke a door handle of a parked vehicle and took an iPad, laptop, backpack and wallet from the vehicle.

Sept. 4: A residential burglary was reported in the 0-100 of Harmony. Unknown person(s) entered the garage of the residence and damaged the parked vehicle.

Sept. 5: A theft over $500 was reported in the 1200 block of North Independence. Unknown person(s) took a box trailer valued at $6,000 from the parking lot of the business.

Sept. 5: A criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Fenton. Unknown person(s) keyed a vehicle that parked in the driveway of the residence.

Sept. 8: A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 100 block of Ambassador Avenue. Unknown person(s) took a pick up truck that was parked with the keys in it from the driveway of the residence.

Sept. 9: A retail theft was reported in the 1300 block of West Normantown. Unknown person(s) took two 12 packs of beer with a value of $29.98 from the business.

Sept. 11: Two burglaries from motor vehicles and criminal damages to property were reported in the 1000 of West Crossroads Parkway. Unknown person(s) broke windows of two parked vehicles and took cash, a wallet, identification cards and a cell phone from the vehicles.

Sept. 12: A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 500 block of Everette. Unknown person(s) took a vehicle that was left unattended and running.
