Chicken Wing Buffet Dine & Dash: Romeoville Blotter

Two customers ate $45.92 worth of chicken wings from a buffet in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road and left without paying at around 1:48 p.m. July 10.

Four people took $1,184.44 worth of health and beauty items from a store in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road at around 3:12 p.m. July 11, but didn't get far with the stolen loot: Police said the items were recovered at the scene.

Someone tried to pry open a door in the 400 block of North Weber Road, but was not able to enter the building. The attempted burglary took place at 3:06 p.m. July 15.

A burglar or burglars damaged the door of a home in the 600 block of Bancroft Court on July 17 and stole baseballs, change and a watch worth a total of $340.

Someone stole a bottle of liquor worth $13.99 from a business in the 400 block of North Independence Boulevard at around 10 p.m. July 17.
