Collect 'Em All: Romeoville PD Trading Cards Available
The RPD Cop Card program is part of a partnership with 7-Eleven.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Last fall, Romeoville police announced a new program, Cop Cards, aimed at fostering a relationship between police and the community through Romeoville Police trading cards. Now, the program is live, and police have been taking to Twitter to share the reaction.
Police shared a post from a mom who said her son spotted an officer and urged her to turn around so he could collect his first RPD Cop Card. "He got his first police card and it made his day," the mom wrote. Police also shared a tweet showing two kids thrilled after receiving trading cards for Officer Nick Clesceri.

The program is funded through a donation by 7-Eleven.
"The idea is for officers to have these available to hand out," Sgt. Chris Burne told Patch in November. Anytime an officer encounters a child, they're encouraged to pass out their card, challenging local kids to collect them all, "that way they'll have met all of the officers," he said.
