'Confluence' Art Exhibit Hosted At Lewis University
The show will be on display from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily through Aug. 12 in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery at Lewis.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Lewis University will host an art exhibition by artist Jeannine Hill-Soldner through Aug. 12 at the Romeoville campus. The representational painter explores layers of color and meaning inspired by the visual fragments of everyday life in the exhibit "Confluence," according to a news release from the university.
The show will be on display from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily through Aug. 12 in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery, located on Lewis University’s main campus in Romeoville. The exhibit is free and open to the public, the university said.
Jeanine Hill-Soldner is a Chicago-area artist whose work spans more than 40 years, according to the university. Her passion for art began at age 15, while training in an artist’s studio. With a bachelor's degree in Art Education from the University of Florida and a master's degree in Art from the University of Illinois, she has taught art from kindergarten to adults. Her work has been exhibited extensively in many solo shows, including Chicago’s National Veterans Art Museum, the release states.

The Department of Art and Design manages the Wadsworth Family Gallery events, which include Lewis University student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions and cultural and religious-based art shows.
