Cops And Bobbers Fishing Derby Planned In June
The fishing derby is for residents ages 3-17, and will be held on June 3 from 7 a.m. to noon in Romeoville.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby will be held on June 3 in Romeoville. You must register by May 15 for the free event, hosted by the Romeoville Fraternal Order of Police.
The fishing derby is for residents ages 3-17, and will be held on June 3 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Wesglen Clubhouse, 200 Wesglen Parkway, according to the Village Facebook.
Registration is limited to 150 participants.

Fishing age groups will be ages 3-6, 7-10, 11-14 and 15-17. Prizes will also be awarded for the most fish caught, largest fish, and smallest fish.
The Romeoville Fire Department will also put on a demonstration, and lunch is provided by the Hampton Park Social Athletic Club.
