DUIs, Domestic Battery: Romeoville Blotter

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The following information is from the Romeoville Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.

Aug. 20

Cristian Herrera, 28, of Romeoville, was charged with DUI, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol at 7:42 p.m. at Taylor Road and Route 53.

Aug. 21

Daniel Ortiz, 22, of Romeoville, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, DUI and no insurance at 4:03 a.m. in the 800 block of Murphy.

Aug. 25

Matthew Vahimian, 36, of Romeoville, was charged with domestic battery at 2:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of Mews Lane.

Victor Velasco Jr., 36, of Romeoville, was charged with domestic battery at 11:44 p.m. in the 400 block of Glen.

Aug. 30

Ricardo Hernandez Jr., 20, of Romeoville, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, no valid license and illegal consumption of alcohol at 4:08 a.m. in the 600 block of North Weber Road.
