ROMEOVILLE, IL — The following information is from the Romeoville Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.

Aug. 27

Crystal Young, 42, of Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of cannabis in motor vehicle, DUI, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating a vehicle with no registration at 5:55 p.m. at Dalhart and Rockledge.

Aug. 29

Erik Contreras-Martinez, 28, of Joliet, was charged with DUI, no insurance, improper lane use and no driver's license on person at 11:26 p.m. at Weber and Renwick roads.

Someone broke the driver side window of a vehicle in the 700 block of Bayles Drive.

Sept. 1

Samantha Rodriguez, 33, of Joliet, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic battery at 12:44 p.m. in the 300 block of Emery.

Sept. 2

A fire was reported in the 300 block of Lilac Drive; a small burning cardboard box was found inside an open garage.
