Dunkin', Gas Station Moving Forward In Romeoville

A QuikTrip gas station will be built at the southwest corner of Weber and Normantown roads.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Two projects will soon be moving forward in Romeoville, as the Village Board approved permitting for the refurbishment of the Discount Tire building on Weber Road and the construction of a QuikTrip gas station at the southwest corner of Weber and Normantown roads, according to a release from the Village.

The existing Discount Tire building will be subdivided into three units, the Village said. Dunkin’ will take the rear 2,837 square foot unit.

There will also be space for two other retail tenants, with 1,724 and 1,277-square-foot units available. A drive-thru lane will be created by opening a hole through the building where one of the current repair bays is located. A new lane will be constructed around the rear of the building and through this new opening, according to the Village.

The QuikTrip fueling station will be part of a larger plan for the southwest corner of Weber and Normantown, which is expected to have a Hilton Tru hotel and two restaurants. There will be a 8,292 square foot QuikTrip convenience store with the fueling center, the Village said.

“As the construction on the Weber Road and I-55 interchange wraps up, we are seeing development that is looking to take advantage of this new opportunity,” said Mayor John Noak.
