Lewis University will host the Antigua Baroque Consort at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the Sancta Alberta Chapel located on the University’s main campus in Romeoville. The cost of admission is $10.
The Antigua Baroque Consort was formed by Mark Ponzo, baroque trumpeter/cornettist in 2009. The mission of the consort is to present music of the era to a wide audience on instruments with an informative and entertaining slant.
All four members hold a collegiate teaching position in addition to an active performance career. The consort is comprised of Zenia Lee (soprano), Casey McGrath (violin), Mark Ponzo (baroque trumpet/cornetto/sackbut) and Jane Morlan (harpsichord).
