Community Invited to College Fair during Hill College Week

In an effort to begin educating students on opportunities available to them once they graduate from high school, R.C. Hill Elementary School will celebrate “College Week” from March 19 to 23.

The week will feature a wide variety of activities for students including a College Fair from 1:30 to 4:30 on March 22 with representatives from such schools as Northern Illinois University, Illinois State University, DePaul, Purdue, Rasmussen and Joliet Junior College scheduled to attend. Students will visit the fair with their classroom. Parents and community members are welcome to attend from 3:30 to 4:30 as well.

Also on the schedule:

• A display of flags, banners and pennants from Hill staff members’ colleges and universities
• Fun facts, fight songs and college histories during morning announcements
• Classroom adoptions of colleges and universities with posters, mascots, symbols, fact and much more on display
• Top 5 lists of why students should consider going to college
• College gear day
