Dr. Lawrence Sisk, professor of music at Lewis University, will conduct the orchestra in a program of Russian music that includes Glinka’s Kamarinskaya and the Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla, Balakirev’s Russia, and the sparkling waltz from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. The concert will conclude with the world premiere of a new composition by Keegan Bosch, winner of the 2011 MYSO Composition Contest. Keegan is a senior at Plainfield Central High School and principal double bass of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra.
