Going On A Trip? Romeoville Police Offer Vacation Checks
Police can check on vacationing homeowners' houses up to three times per day.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Going on vacation but want to make sure your house is secure? If you live in the Village of Romeoville, you can request vacation checks from local police. "When a resident goes away on vacation, a police officer can check their home up to three times per day to make sure it remains secure," according to the village.
A request form must be turned in and signed prior to departure. Forms are available at the Romeoville Police Department, 1050 W. Romeo Road, and online.
Forms can be submitted on the village website.
