Grand Opening Delayed For Romeoville Aquatic Center
The center was set to open Aug. 14, but opening has been delayed to a later date.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The grand opening for the Romeoville Aquatic Center scheduled for Aug. 14 has been delayed, the Village shared on Facebook.
The Village did not give a reason for the delay but said, "Everything was going swimmingly at the Romeoville Aquatic Center, until we hit a few waves! Our Grand Opening is being delayed temporarily."
Residents and members who come to the Grand Opening will now be eligible to win a one-year Aquatic Center membership, the Village said. Discounted rates will also be extended through the new opening date, and annual memberships already purchased will be valid for one year from the new opening date.

The Village will begin swim lesson registrations starting with session 2 in the fall program brochure.
No rescheduled opening date has been announced. Patch has reached out to the village for more information.
