The coroner’s office lists 31 people having died from a heroin overdose since the start of 2015 in Will County. Heroin overdoses accounted for 35 deaths in 2014. Not a month has gone by in 2015 that someone hasn’t died from a heroin overdose. If that trend continues, the amount of fatal heroin overdoses could easily surpass the amount of deaths from 2014.
