Isle a la Cache Hosts Honey and Wax - The Sweet History Of Beekeeping

Bring your favorite wine, beer or mead and learn all about the early days of beekeeping and bee hunting from an 18th-century reenactor.

Sign up by July 26 for Honey and Wax - The Sweet History of Beekeeping at the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville.

This BYOB program is set for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at the museum, 501 E. Romeo Road (135th Street). Learn all about the early days of beekeeping and bee hunting and how people used wax and honey from 18th-century reenactor Al Potyen.

And discover the ingenuity that was employed to properly use this precious resource in creative ways.
