Man Shot in Aryzta Parking Lot

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 1:47 p.m. July 10 at Aryzta Foods Company located at 300 S. Innovation Dr., according to a release from the Romeoville Police Department.

When officers arrived at Aryzta, they found a 33-year-old man who had been shot, but conscious and alert. He was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital by Lockport Township Fire Department. According to Romeoville PD Commander John Ferdinardo, the man is in stable condition.

The man had been confronted by a woman, with whom he had previously been in a relationship, along with additional people. A fight broke out and an occupant of the offending vehicle shot the man in the torso. The vehicle then went East through the parking lot. Police are still looking for the offenders. All leads are being investigated and the case is still under investigation.

Police say this was an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.
