ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 7-Eleven was held up at gunpoint early Monday morning, and the robber got away with around $145.
Romeoville Police Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said at around 1:01 a.m. Monday, a white man wearing a mask walked into the store at 31 Alexander Circle and demanded money while brandishing a gun.
“We don’t know if it was a real one or not,” Ferdinardo said of the gun.

The man was around 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and was wearing a black sweater with white trim around the base and pants with a white stripe on the side. There is no approximate age for the man.
The robber also used a bike to prop open the door during the robbery. No injuries were reported.

“He was in and out real quick,” Ferdinardo said.
7-Elevens in Romeoville and surrounding communities have been the target of several robberies lately, but those suspects have been caught.
“This is a new one,” Ferdinardo said.
