New Hours Begin July 1 For White Oak Library Branches

New hours will be: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and closed Sunday.

WILL COUNTY, IL — The White Oak Library District, which has branches in Romeoville, Lockport and Crest Hill, will change its hours starting July 1.

The new hours are a net gain of one hour per week, and will allow the libraries to increase morning programming for children, Library Director Scott Pointon said.

New hours will be: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The library branches will be closed on Sunday.

Right now, the library hours current include 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, and the library opens at 10 a.m. on weekdays. With the change, those Sunday hours will now be utilized on each weekday morning.

The Lockport branch is at 121 E. Eighth St., the Romeoville branch is at 201 W. Normantown Road, and the Crest Hill branch is at 20670 City Center Blvd.
