New Year's Closings, Trash Pickup Delay For Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — It's time to ring in the New Year in Romeoville, but just like last week, some area offices and businesses will be closed for New Year's Day 2018. Likewise, Waste Management will be picking up trash and recycling one day later.

Here's a list of what's open and what's closed on New Year's Day in Romeoville:

• Post office: Closed
• Federal offices: Closed
• Village of Romeoville: City offices are closed. Garbage collection will be delayed a day.
• Will County offices, including the circuit clerk's office, courts, health department and more will be closed on Christmas.
• Valley View schools: Closed (Winter break lasts through Jan. 8, 2018)
• White Oak library: Closed
• Banks: Closed
• Gas stations: Open
• Retail stores: Some will be closed, but many — including area grocery stores — will be open, but check the hours before you go.
