Noak Told Cop 'You're Done' After DUI Arrest: Report
The Romeoville mayor also told the police chief, "I"m coming for you," after his arrest, according to police and media reports.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — After his arrest for driving under the influence, Romeoville Mayor John Noak told the village's police chief "I'm coming for you" and told two officers "You're done," according to police reports released to local media outlets this week. Noak was arrested on April 12, hours after giving his State of the Village address at the Edward Hospital Athletic & Event Center in Romeoville.
In addition to DUI, 44-year-old Noak was cited for improper lane use and driving a vehicle without proof of insurance. Since the arrest, he told Patch he cannot comment on the incident on the advice of his attorney, George Lenard.
Noak gave a similar statement at the start of the April 18 village board meeting, six days after his arrest. "While I would like to discuss the situation that happened last week," he said attorney advised him not to do so until the case is resolved, according to the mayor's brief statement. Noak said he looked forward to giving a more detailed statement at that time.

Police said Noak was stopped after another driver called 911 to report a possibly intoxicated motorist driving west on Belmont. A responding officer spotted the vehicle heading west on Romeo Road a short distance from Belmont and initiated a traffic stop, police said in a press release a day after the arrest.
According to police reports obtained by the Chicago Tribune, Noak reportedly initially increased speed after an officer signaled him to stop and did not pull over until the officer activated his siren. The report said Noak would not consent to a blood draw, urine test or breathalyzer and refused to answer questions.

During booking, "Noak appeared to be upset/crying and Chief (Mark) Turvey calmed him down,” according to the Tribune. The report said he asked if the station was under video surveillance and was told there was a camera but no audio recording, at which point he reportedly told Turvey, "I'm coming for you."

In their reports, two officers said Noak offered them his hand and said, "You're done" to them as he was being escorted out of the building, according to the report.
After his arrest, Noak paid $100 bond and also handed over his driver's license. The mayor's liquor commissioner badge was also removed from his car, which was towed after the arrest, the Tribune reported.
Noak's case was scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning for motions, and an arraignment was scheduled for May 10, according to Will County court records.
