Jared L. Haywood, Sr.
Age 42, of Joliet, Illinois passed from this life early Friday morning, March 20, 2026, at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Jared was born April 22, 1983, in Joliet where he resided all of his life.
He is the beloved father of Jared L. Haywood, Jr., Jeremy Haywood, and Jordan Jones. Jared Sr's parents, Jerry and Gail also survive; as well as his siblings, Barb Mayes, Jim Mayes, Paul Mayes, Jake Haywood, his twin Joshua Haywood (Jessica), and Jesse Mayes (Chasity). He will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends, including longtime girlfriend, Aimee Surges.

Jared’s kindness, generosity, and love for family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be long remembered for his ability to connect with people, finding levity, and humor in every encounter.
Jared was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. He was overjoyed to witness their 2016 World Series win.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. in Joliet.A service of remembrance will conclude the afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m.
As it was Jared's request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be directed to the family for disbursement to causes important to Jared.
