O'Hara Woods Volunteer Workdays Planned Into 2024

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Conservation Foundation and the Friends of O'Hara Woods continue to hold monthly volunteer workdays at O'Hara Woods, to help improve the ecological health of the area, according to the group.

Volunteers will cut invasive brush, burn brush piles, pull garlic mustard and collect seeds from native plants.

O'Hara Woods is at 524 Belmont Drive. Volunteers should bring a water bottle, work gloves and dress for the weather. Other equipment will be provided, according to the group.

Monthly workdays will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at:

• Dec. 16
• Jan. 27
• Feb. 24
• March 23
• April 20 (litter clean-up)
• May 4 (wildflower identification walk)
