Elsie is a 9-year-old, domestic, short-hair mix female cat available for adoption.

Elsie is a sweet senior 4-paw declaw who would love to settle in to your home and be your best friend. Her owners who had her all her life had to move and give her up so it takes her a little time to adjust to new environments. Just a bit of patience and she settles in nicely and becomes very affectionate, talking to you and wanting LOTS of petting and rolling on her back for belly rubs.

Laying and cuddling on the bed is her favorite spot in the house with the exception of sunning herself in the window to do some bird-watching. Elsie is more of a “lazy girl” who wants plenty of R & R and not much play. She is slow to warm up to other cats and would need gentle, social cats as companions. She will tolerate dogs; she isn’t thrilled when they are too curious with her but she will peacefully coexist with calmer or friendly dogs.

Grooming time is very enjoyable to Elsie; get out that brush and she purrs, purrs, purrs and lets you brush her for as long as you like. Elsie had a pancreatic cyst removed some time ago and we are happy to say she has had no further issues since though as a senior she will need her regular check ups to ensure she remains healthy.

Elsie’s $75 adoption fee includes her spay, rabies and distemper vaccines, FIV, Feline Leukemia and fecal tests, and microchipping.
