The 24-year-old, convicted in connection with another teen's death in 2011, was released in June 2017.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A parolee convicted of conspiring to murder a 17-year-old Maywood teen who was killed in 2011 now faces new charges of arson and violating his parole, a little over a year after he was released from prison, according to Will County jail records. Darrius M. Ferguson, 24, of the 300 block of Aster Court, was arrested Sept. 4 by Romeoville police.

Romeoville police did not respond to a message from Patch seeking additional information about Ferguson's arrest, but Will County court documents indicate he is charged with arson/defrauding an insurance company stemming from an Aug. 10 incident.

Ferguson was convicted in Cook County of conspiracy to murder and sentenced to 15 years. He was paroled on June 30, 2017, according to Illinois Department of Corrections records.
