• Apply For Romeoville's Property Tax Rebate Program By Dec. 1 (wjol.com) — Romeoville homeowners can again claim a $100 rebate on the village portion of their 2025 property tax bill, with applications open now through Dec. 1, 2026. Only owner-occupied single-family homes within village limits qualify, and applicants must be current on all village payments. You can apply online or at Village Hall using your 2025 tax bill.
   

• Joliet's Mayor Terry D'Arcy Discusses City's Traffic Woes With Scott Slocum (wjol.com) — A major freight and traffic study now underway could eventually reshape how trucks move along IL 53 from just north of Romeoville down to Wilmington, aiming to ease downtown congestion in places like Joliet and Lockport. Joliet's mayor says the two-year effort, backed by local municipalities and logistics developers, is exploring rerouting heavy trucks to highways and away from neighborhoods, but warns residents not to expect quick fixes.
