Attendance is capped at 100 people, and RSVPs are required online before the exact location is shared.

Both Valley View High Schools Named To US News Best High School List (patch.com) — Romeoville families can celebrate Romeoville High School being ranked 105th in Illinois by U.S. News, placing it among the top 11 percent of public high schools statewide. District leaders credit strong teaching, support staff, and community backing for Romeoville's performance and its high standing in the Southwest Prairie Conference.
   

3. 2026 Herald-News boys cross country preview capsules (shawlocal.com) — Romeoville High School's boys cross country team enters the fall rebuilding after graduating 12 seniors, but coaches say this younger squad is enthusiastic and eager to improve. 4. Fired Will County Sheriff's Sniper Won His Job Back, But Has Lt. John Allen Returned To Sheriff's Facility? (patch.com) — Romeoville readers are learning that a federal arbitrator ordered Lt. Johnathan Allen reinstated with full back pay after he mistakenly killed a man during a 2022 standoff at a Weber Road bank in town. The Will County Sheriff's Office is still weighing an appeal, leaving questions about if and when Allen will return to duty.
   

5. Will County yet to disburse approved grant for immigration services group (chicagotribune.com) — Will County leaders are at odds over why $200,000 in cannabis tax revenue for an immigration services nonprofit still hasn't been released, even though the grant was approved last November. Romeoville Democratic board member Destinee Ortiz says the delay hurts immigrant families in communities like Romeoville, Joliet and Bolingbrook, while the county executive's office argues the proposal lacked clear documentation and purpose.
