Romeoville held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Boucher Prairie Park.

The Village of Romeoville hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Tuesday, unveiling the recently completed phases II and III.

According to the village website, the park now includes an additional one-third mile loop to complete the half-mile walking trail, a lighted shelter near the existing playground, a half basketball court, a practice baseball field with a backstop, fitness stations, an in-line hockey court, a splash pad, and a boardwalk and wetland overlook with interpretive signage and native plantings.

The project was funded in part by a $393,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
