Pine Trail Park Proposal Passed by Romeoville Board

The Romeoville Village Board has approved the hiring of Wight & Company to begin the final design process for the new Pine Trail Park.

The Romeoville Village Board has approved the hiring of Wight & Company to begin the final design process for the new Pine Trail Park, a 2.5 acre area near Route 53 and Pine Trail Drive. Like many projects in Romeoville, this project will be built in phases. The first phase calls for playground equipment, a shelter, and trail system. Additional site work like landscaping, lighting, and other furnishings is also planned.

“We are grateful to be able to provide a new park amenity for this area of the community,” said Mayor John Noak.

It will be one of the most northern parks in the Romeoville. Phase two, which will be determined at a later date, could include a nature trail with play elements, seating areas, and a series of gateway arbors.
