Police Questioning Second Motorcyclist in Plainfield Crash

Police are looking into whether second motorcyclist's actions may have contributed to accident.

Police are questioning a second motorcyclist in connection with a fatal Plainfield accident that claimed two lives, The Herald News reports.

(Plainfield Police Chief John) Konopek said police are looking into whether the other motorcyclist’s actions may have contributed to the accident. When asked if drag racing may have been involved, Konopek said, “that’s all a part of the investigation.”

Early Tuesday morning, motorcyclist Sean Fitzpatrick, 27, died when he crashed into pedestrian Randal Lambert, 56, who was also killed.

While the crash is still under investigation, police have confirmed that Fitzpatrick was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.
