Prostitution Sting: Arrests For Patronizing, Pimps In Romeoville

Several suburban men charged with soliciting prostitutes.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Six people were arrested on charges of patronizing a prostitute, prostitution and pimping between June 27 and June 30 in Romeoville, according to Romeoville arrest records. The following people were arrested in the 1200 block of Normantown Road, according to police:

  • Daniel Smith, 44, of the 9300 block of Witham Lane, Woodridge, charged with patronizing a prostitute
  • Archie Joaquin, 38, of the 22000 block of Basslake Road, Plainfield, charged with patronizing a prostitute
  • Anthony Azzarello, 22, of the 200 block of Briggs Street, Joliet, charged with patronizing a prostitute
  • Albert Larry, 31, of 3915 Adams Street in Bellwood, Illinois, charged with pimping
  • Kaitlyn Versetto, 30, of the 3300 block of Western Avenue, Chicago, charged with prostitution

    It's not the first time suburban men have been arrested for soliciting prostitutes in Romeoville.

    In April 2016, Romeoville Police Cmdr. John Ferdinardo told Patch that local police conduct a yearly undercover sting operation to crack down on prostitution. In April 2016, Romeoville police said 22 people were arrested over a one-week period at a hotel in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive.

    Mug shots for the arrestees were not available, according to police reports. Each arrestee posted $100 recognizance bond, police said.
