Registration Still Open for Plainfield's How-To Fair

Have you ever wanted to expand your world and learn something new? Well, that’s exactly what the How-To Fair is all about. You can choose among 50 different workshops, so sign up for one, five or seven one-hour sessions - whatever your interest and schedule allows.

Workshops will be offered at the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois Street; Plainfield Township Community Center, 15014 S. Des Plaines Street; and Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street.

Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event; however, workshops are filling up quickly. To guarantee your seat, register now.

How To Stay Fit While You Sit - Too much sitting can be stressful, even harmful. During this demonstration, practice specific stretches and exercises you can use in your daily life to keep your body healthy and flexible.

How To Protect Your Home & Family - Severe weather preparedness and basic home safety guidelines are offered to help you keep your home and family secure.

How To Fix Door and Window Screens Yourself - You can repair ripped or torn screens throughout your house without having to take them to the hardware store. Master this easy home repair task to keep out those pesky flies and mosquitoes for good.

How To Investigate Hidden Plainfield History - On a jaunt through Downtown Plainfield, hear about lesser-known but captivating people and newsworthy events that have happened here since the Plainfield Enterprise began printing in 1887.

How To Use Native Plants & Rain Barrels and Attract Butterflies and Birds - By growing certain types of plants in your yard and using rain barrels effectively, you can help the environment and enjoy a beautiful yard.
