RomeoFest Guide: Carnival, Food, Music, Fireworks

ROMEOVILLE, IL — RomeoFest will return to Deer Crossing Park and Village Park, 900 to 1050 W. Romeo Road, from Aug. 3 to 6, featuring a carnival, live music, food vendors, a car show, fireworks and more.

This year's hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday for the main festivities. A men's softball tournament is slated for 8 a.m. Saturday and the Showcase Classics Car show is at 9 a.m. Sunday.

The Carnival Mega Pass, good for unlimited rides all four days, is available now through Aug. 2 for $45 cash or $47 (credit/debit) at the Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Road. From Aug. 3-6, Mega Passes will be available for $50 (cash only) in the carnival. Daily wristbands, good for unlimited rides on the day of purchase, are $30 (cash only) and can be purchased at the carnival.

Food Fest Race Kicks Off RomeoFest

The carnival entrance fee is $5 for those ages 11 and older (good for 5 p.m. to close daily). Carnival entrance is free for kids 10 and under and seniors 65 and older, as well as all Mega Pass holders. If you are in the carnival before 5 p.m., you can stay without paying, according to the village. If you leave and come back, you will be charged the fee.

Individuals with special needs are invited to ride carnival rides for free from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday during Georgia Wilson Day. Participants must register at the Romeoville Recreation Center or with Northern Will County Special Recreation by Wednesday, Aug. 2 to take part.
