Romeoville Approves Grant Agreement With CITGO For Bike Path
CITGO has agreed to complete improvements along the I&M Canal Centennial Trail, and will cover the full costs of the project of $450,000.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville approved a grant agreement with CITGO Petroleum Corporation at its Wednesday Village Board meeting. The grant agreement is for the I&M Centennial Trail bike path connection project.
Village Manager Dawn Caldwell said this is a great opportunity to enhance the path system.
CITGO has agreed to complete improvements along the I&M Canal Centennial Trail, and will cover the full costs of the project of $450,000. The improvements will be finished by the end of 2023.

"[CITGO has] been truly an outstanding community partner for the Village of Romeoville; not only for this project but several other projects we're working on and in the past," Caldwell said.
