ROMEOVILLE, IL — Verilife Cannabis Dispensary in Romeoville will relocate to a new location, after the Romeoville Village Board approved a special use permit at its Wednesday meeting.

Verilife has operated as a medical cannabis dispensary since 2019, and began serving both medical and adult-use cannabis customers in January 2020, according to Board documents.

Community Development Director Josh Potter said the business would occupy a 7,700-square-foot anchor space at Carillon Court Shopping Center, at 412 Weber Drive.

The business currently operates at 1335 Lakeside Drive, Unit 4. Previous owners were approved for a license at that location in 2016, before Verilife acquired the license in 2019.

"They've been looking for a more prominent retail location with better access and improved parking for some time now," Potter said.

The Village Board unanimously approved the special use permit for the business.
