Romeoville Approves 'Winter Wonderland' Trains, Iceless Rinks

This year's Winter Wonderland is set for Dec. 4 and 5.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — It may only be February, but the Village of Romeoville is already planning its holiday 2026 events. At Wednesday's meeting, the Romeoville Village Board approved an agreement for some amenities at its Winter Wonderland event for the 2026 holiday season.

The Board approved an agreement with JP Party Rentals LLC for the rental of two iceless skating rinks and two trackless trains for the holiday event.

According to Board documents, the cost of the two trains is $6,000 and the cost of the ice rinks is $16,000. The total cost of the agreement is $28,000.

The Winter Wonderland event is set for Dec. 4 and Dec. 5.

"Due to the large number of attendees this past year, we want to expand the availability of these amenities, and we want to secure them while they're still available," Kelly Rajzer, Director of Parks and Recreation, said.

Mayor John Noak said the 2025 event was "incredibly successful."
